CHOCOLATE TREE DECORATIONS

1. Heat butter, syrup and sugar in a saucepan; heat gently, stirring
with a wooden spoon until melted.
2. Sift flour, cocoa, cinnamon and bicarbonate of soda into a bowl
and add the mixture and the milk. Mix to a smooth ball. Stand for 5
minutes or until cool enough to handle.
3. Knead ; roll to 5mm; using cookie cutters cut as many Christmas
trees as possible; bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 180c.
4. Allow to cool before decorating.

150g caster sugar
15g cocoa
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons bicarbonate of soda
4 tablespoons milk
candy coated chocolate
drops to decorate
